The world of "Meet the Blands" expands!

Hey guys, its been a minute since I last updated on here, but as we gear up for our very first production in May, and after meeting many people in the industry here in ATX, I have taken the decision to film a short film that will lead into "Meet the Blands" currently titled "Dinner with The Blands". This short film will be shot in 2023 and will be used to generate interest in the feature. I would love to shoot this and make it festival ready for later in the year. The script for the short should be made available in this site shorty once I get the scene reformatted to make sense in short form. I think the scene selected will absolutely showcase some of the best I have to offer and has a little bit of the comedy and horror I'm known for.

In the scene, the Blands are in the kitchen, adding in the final blows to the head of an unsuspecting victim when an unexpected knock comes from the door. They now have to juggle disposing the body, while entertaining a very important guest who has no idea what is happening around him. Will the Blands get away with murder, swing the investor dinner guest, Andrew to help finance their restaurant, or will it all fall apart quicker than an oven preheating? Stay tuned to find out!

'Meet the Blands' & 'Dinner with The Blands' are both loosely based off of the 1982 cult classic film 'Eating Raoul' directed by and starring Paul Bartel, and features the incomparable Mary Waronov and Robert Beltran. Ricardo F. Gonzalez is set to Make his comeback with 'Meet The Blands' his first film in just over a decade. In 'MTB' Ricardo updated the narrative by adding in an entirely LGBTQ+ cast and powered by an ever growing minority and queer production company making its major feature debut, Greenscope Entertainment. The film currently has no release date after production has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but is speculated to release in 2024 theatrically

and in genre film festivals around the USA. 'Dinner with The Blands' is scheduled to begin production in late spring of 2023, for a fall or winter 2023 release.
